Even if you don't see your pic here (maybe came in through Google?), or any silly nonsense about a fan club, you might want to read this so here it is!
Who is responsible for this fan club?
What fan club?
Who set up my fan club?
Hmmm, this one was born yesterday maybe.
Ok wise guy, what is this place about then?
It's about CODE! That's why it's called imvuCODE! We got sick of people asking so many questions about homepage CODE (and how can you answer them easily at imvu anyway!?) and decided to set up a website (imvuCODE) to archive our thoughts on it. Here is the logo as seen on every page!!:

What kind of sick joke is this? I don't approve of you trying to trick people...
We've just explained to you in plain English what this site is about. We're not trying to trick people. Even if anybody were that gullible, they would see the explanations or follow the links or read the signs or SOMETHING, right? This is a demonstration. If you don't like it, get out. If you do, come to the forum and start learning! Or teaching. Preferably teaching actually but learning is OK.
How come my picture is on the front page!?
Geeze Luise, you just don't give up, do you? Actually your picture is not on the front page. Not really. In fact we've probably never heven heard of you. On the path to enlightenment you must learn to see beyond your nose. Everybody who comes here should see their own image. Pretty simple. You can learn more about it here:
Click me! So don't say we never share anything with you because we do.
In fact, we don't have your avatar image at all. Check the code or ask a friend to who knows about this sort of thing (not a pretender...) to confirm it. Or better, right click on the "BANNED" stamp across your avatar, save it to disk and try opening it up in your favourite graphics program.Well, well, well...
Well, then, where's the code!?
It's in the FORUM. Click FORUM in the top row of tabs. Or if you're impatient, click SEARCH (the bright yellow one, and try one-word queries first)
Good luck, hope to see you soon!
If you ever need to get back here, it's called the PORTAL in the top menu.
OK so for anybody who made it this far down the page, here is the story of the site......... I'll try to be brief.
Customizing your page by copy and paste will make you a clone (a sheep). I started out with no idea how to customize my imvu page but I learn very quickly - and when I did learn, people would ask me daily to share my secrets. I had no secrets but how was I going to share the code? Anyway this place was born of that. It's supposed to be about homepage customization, although we do get off topic to talk about current events, medicine, politics, computer science, geography...
Basically if you want to learn how to do it properly this is the place to be. If you want to teach how to do it properly this is the place to be too! Ok it's not, but I want you to believe that it is.
We've got all the tired old tricks:
Or our new one (still working on it to some extent)
We also write a lot of new things, although we haven't for a few months now.
We're working on documentation for our own place: http://imvu.co.nz/help.html
AND
We've got a fairly powerful search engine http://imvu.co.nz/search.html
Short search queries (single word) are best.
You will need:
- Your thinking cap
- Eyes
- Lots of patience
- A good sense of humour
- A good strong ego
- Your wits about you.
Once you've got all those things lined up, stop over at the forum (Top row of tabs there, near the bright yellow search button) or the registration page, and let's see if we can get you started with the code.

This looks so awesome and eye catching. Easy on the eyes and everything. Very explanatory, easy read. By the time the special people get this far down the page, they have no excuse to not know whats going on......
Great job Sneaky!

Do you really think the "slow ones" will read all of that? (and even if they do, will they understand it?) I still give odds, that there will be one ore two "who is impersonating me that I am banned from my own fan club and how did I come to get a fan club anyways?"
Oh make a mark on the wall, I am sober this time. (so this is what day looks like)

I agree totally with BlondeCD. If there's one thing we should have all learned by now it's that some people really are just that dumb that you can show them pictures of the things that brought them here and... I just agree. That's all there is to it. But this has gotta help. This will surely take care of at least one or two of them a month

It will also show me when to guide my finger to the delete button much sooner. Even I understand this page. Those that don't take the time to read it...in my opinion, don't deserve to get past this page.

Neither did those who didn't understand the last one. How can you fall for three little words and a pretty picture, and somehow manage to understand the instructions to activate your email? And never suspect anything the whole time?

...it does look smooth, must give you that ...very clear too... my bet is some still won't get it.

Probably doesn't help that it doesn't collapse comments initially, I reckon.

Tell him to get his butt home, the cats are missing him.. Anywho, I haven't had one silly reaction to the fan club...yet.. This page should make it clear as to what is going on.. I love it :-) Hoo Roo

Mozilla wants to squash all the P1 and P2 bugs before beta 5. The code freeze for b5 is only six days away. Luckily there are only 95 bugs.
It's overdue, but........ ;D;D I can hardly wait!http://blogs.zdnet.com/Burnette/?p=548&tag=nl.e6225 times faster than ie7 (f5x faster in string testing) Passes Acid3 Everything is good.
